When you have treatment-resistant depression, you may wonder, “Is TMS therapy right for me?” Our specialists know how important it is to consider how transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) or any other treatment will align with your mental health needs.

As you navigate your mental health treatment options, TMS therapy is a good treatment to consider. It is particularly well-suited for patients with treatment-resistant depression or other mental health conditions who haven’t found relief with traditional methods like medication or therapy. If this sounds like you, TMS may be right for you.

At Cedar Park TMS, we understand that exploring new treatment options can be challenging, and we are here to help you make the best treatment choice for your needs. Our specialist team is here to address any questions or concerns you might have and provide you with expert, personalized guidance as you navigate your mental health treatment options. Our team at Cedar Park TMS is fully dedicated to your well-being and will work closely with you to determine if TMS therapy is the right fit for your mental health journey. When it is not, we will help you discover an option better suited to your needs.

Is TMS Therapy Right for You?

If you are asking yourself, “Is TMS therapy right for me?” you should consult a medical professional for personalized advice. At Cedar Park TMS, we are pioneers in providing TMS treatment to our community, specializing in TMS since 2018. We can help you discover if TMS therapy is the best treatment for your needs through a full medical evaluation.

Who Should Not Get TMS Therapy

While TMS can be life-changing for some patients, it is not right for everyone. Some patients are not eligible for this treatment and may benefit from alternative treatment options.

You may not be a good candidate for TMS therapy if you have permanent conductive metal or stimulator implants in or near the head or active or inactive implants such as cochlear implants, deep brain stimulators, or vagus nerve stimulators.

TMS therapy may not be ideal or appropriate for you if you have severe neurological conditions such as head injuries or epilepsy. TMS therapy is also not recommended if you are pregnant or under 15.

Every patient is different, so even if TMS treatment is not the right fit for you, we can help you explore another treatment option that may help you. One of the clinical specialists at Cedar Park TMS could guide you to the right mental health treatment for your needs.
